Welcome to Grant County Fire District #3

Thank you for visiting our website and for taking the time to learn more about Grant County Fire District #3. It is an honor to serve as Fire Chief and to lead an organization made up of dedicated career, volunteer, resident, and support members who share a commitment to protecting our communities.

Grant County Fire District #3 serves approximately 503 square miles across the Quincy Valley, including Quincy, Winchester, Block 71, Low Gap, George, Sunland Estates, The Gorge, Crescent Bar, and the surrounding areas. Our district is diverse and continues to evolve, from its strong agricultural roots to expanding industry, technology, recreation, and residential growth. As our communities' change, the fire district must continue to adapt with them.

In 2026, our Board of Fire Commissioners adopted the Grant County Fire District #3 Strategic Plan for 2027–2031. This plan establishes a clear direction for the next five years and reflects input from our members, community, regional partners, and Board of Fire Commissioners.

The plan focuses our efforts on seven strategic priorities: sustainable staffing and deployment; organizational clarity and leadership development; our EMS role and system integration; facilities, apparatus, and infrastructure; financial stability and revenue strategy; data, technology, and operational insights; and community trust and preparedness.

More importantly, the Strategic Plan is intended to be a working document. It will guide our annual work plans, budgeting, capital investments, and organizational priorities while providing a way to measure our progress and remain accountable to the community we serve.

While planning for the future is important, our foundation remains the same: our people. I am proud of the professionalism, dedication, and teamwork demonstrated every day by the members of Grant County Fire District #3. They are your neighbors, friends, and family members, committed to being ready when our community needs them.

On behalf of the Grant County Fire District #3 Board of Fire Commissioners and every member of our organization, thank you for your continued trust and support. We look forward to working alongside our community as we carry out the 2027–2031 Strategic Plan and prepare Grant County Fire District #3 for the future.
